Edith P - A Jewish survivor of Auschwitz and Salzwedel (31 mins)

Born in eastern Czechoslovakia, Edith P. was deported with her family from Nazi-occupied Hungary to Auschwitz in 1944. She describes conditions on the deportation trains and in Auschwitz, and later in the Neuengamme satellite camp Salzwedel. She was one of around 3,000 women liberated here by US forces on 14 April 1945.
