Irene Hizme and Rene Slotkin - Czech twins deported to Auschwitz as children (59 mins)

Irene Hizme and Rene Slotkin were born into a Jewish family in Czechoslovakia in 1937. Interviewed in 1995, they speak about their deportation as children from the Theresienstadt ghetto to Auschwitz, where they were separated from their mother and from each other, and became victims of SS experiments. Liberated in 1945 by Soviet troops, they lost touch before being reunited in the US in 1950.
